The data on hospital stays produced by the ATIH (Agence Technique de l’Information Hospitalières), known as the PMSI (Programme de Médicalisation des Systèmes d’Information), include information on patients, stays, diagnoses and procedures. They are a source of very rich information for research and statistical studies, particularly in this period of health crisis when, for example, a new label (U07.1 Coronavirus respiratory disease 2019 [COVID-19]) has been integrated into the PMSI to code the respiratory disease due to the coronavirus 2019.
These data can now be made available to researchers within the CASD after approval by the CNIL (Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés) and the ATIH.
