Best wishes for this new year

At the beginning of 2022, the entire CASD team wishes you all the best.

In these times of pandemic, public health issues will be more than ever at the heart of concerns. This is why the French Presidency of the European Union intends to give a boost to the European Health Data Space project.

LAccess to highly sensitive health data under high security conditions is all the more essential.

Certified ISO 27701, RGPD by Bureau Veritas and HDS (Health Data Host), the CASD’s secure bubble system ensures end-to-end security, which simplifies the compliance process for health projects that use it, while offering a wide range of tools and data processing power (Python, TensorFlow, GIT, GPGPU…).

80 health projects are underway in the CASD. To name but a few:
– Projects working on the SNDS (Parkinson’s disease, cancer, etc.)
– Numerous projects working on hospital information databases (PMSI)
– Projects on data matched to the SNDS from Constances, the largest French cohort
– A project by the Centre for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) over 11 years (2008-2018) for a quasi-exhaustive SNDS has been authorised by the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties (CNIL) and is currently being set up on the CASD

There is no doubt that the year 2022 will see an increase in the number of health projects as well as requests for matches with the SNDS or with data from other fields, a central issue for public health research.
