Economic and financial analysis of equine companies

EQUIFIN
The equine industry lacks in-depth economic studies to inform and guide the decisions of its leaders. The fact that the various economic actors in the equine industry are dispersed across many sectors of activity and the NAF classification also means it is difficult for the various actors to leverage aggregated public statistics. The IFCE proposes the creation of a centralized economic and financial database of equine businesses that is based on administrative sources including tax and other social registers. The various lists managed by the IFCE could be matched with previous files to build a single comprehensive and robust database of equine businesses. The existence of such a data source would then facilitate the creation of an overview of all equine companies and analysis of their different economic models. It would also be possible to calculate macroeconomic aggregates for the sector as well as provide an analysis of the economic impacts of the COVID19 crisis.
