The Student Monitoring Information System (SISE) for Enrolments lists all the enrolments completed on 15th January of year N in the various higher education establishments. It concerns registrations for year N-1 and for year N. Each enrolment is related to a student identified by their INE number, to a degree course identified by its SISE code and to a location identified by its UAI-RNE number. The purpose of collecting this data is to obtain information on the number of students and their socio-demographic characteristics; to investigate the patterns of study in public and private higher education establishments; and to study migration and educational origins. SISE Catholic Establishment Enrolments records the enrolments completed for the academic year in France in Catholic educational establishments.
