EMMGI : Study on means and practices related to intangible asset management

Years : 2004
+

Producer : Insee

The Study on Means and Practices Related to Intangible Asset Management aims to clarify the objectives, means and methods of managing intangible assets within companies or groups of companies. It identifies three areas of intangible asset management: - Marketing and advertising communication; - Innovation and research policy; - Intellectual property management. In order to better individualize the processes of intangible management, the survey uses the definition of the company specified in Regulation (EEC) No. 696/93, replacing decision-making autonomy with intangible management autonomy. The companies resulting from this profiling process are validated with the groups through a telephone pre-survey. The company introduces itself (workforce, turnover, geographical markets), then by area of intangible management: - Specifies its actions, objectives, results; - Quantifies its efforts: expenditure, workforce, fees; - Specifies its degree of autonomy within the framework of group policy. The survey implements six types of companies: independent companies, French micro-groups, French groups, French sub-groups, foreign sub-groups, foreign groups.
