The concrete measure of the relationship between family size on women labor supply is not straightforward. Although, prima facie the correlation between them appears to be negative, it is quite hard to disentangle the
direction of the effects. More specifically, both fertility and participation decisions are jointlly determined and simple models as Ordinary Least Square suffer from endogeneity bias.
